Ombudsman - Rešiti problem smeštaja azilanata

Bogovođa -- Zaštitnik građana Saša Janković i komesar Saveta Evrope Nils Muižnieks zatražili su od Vlade Srbije da se što hitnije reši problem smeštaja azilanata u Srbiji.

Janković i Muižnieks danas su obišli Centar za smeštaj azilanata u Bogovađi u kojem boravi 160 azilanata iz raznih krajeva sveta, a najviše iz Sirije. Osim u samom centru, više od 230 azilanata boravi i u okolnim šumama, barakama i zemunicama. Od svih azilanata svega osam ima dokumenta.

U Bogovađi živi oko 500 stanovnika.

Ombudsman i evropski komesar danas su razgovarali i sa azilantima, ali i s predstavnicima lokalne zajednice koji najavljuju protest u subotu, zbog straha za svoju bezbednost.

Azilanti su poručili da je sve što im treba adekvatan smeštaj i da se pribojavaju građana, dok se građani istovremeno pribojavaju azilanata i traže da se obezbede adekvatni uslovi za njihov boravak.

Građani se žale na to da azilanti obijaju vikendice, kradu parkete iz tih objekata da bi se zagrejali i ugrožavaju bezbednost njihove dece, koai ih svakodnevno sreću na putu za školu.

Jedan od predstavnika mesne zajednice Goran Đorđević rekao je da niko ne želi incidente i nasilje već da građani traže adekvatno rešenje problema. Ističući da nisu problem azilanti koji borave u centru, već oni koji borave oko njega.

"Mi nismo divljaci, želimo da se ovo reši i zbog nas i zbog njih", kazao je Đorđević i poručio da će protest koji je u centru sela najavljen za subotu biti miran i nenasilan.

Trening - Lajkovac, Subotica, Loznica

U okviru projekta “Unapređenje sistema azilantske zaštite u Srbiji” koji finansira Evropska unija, tokom oktobra 2013. godine su održana tri treninga pod nazivom “Pravni okvir i nadležnost aktera u azilnom sistemu/praksa i propisi”, u organizaciji Centra za zaštitu i pomoć tražiocima azila. Ovi treninzi su održani u Subotici, Lajkovcu i Loznici i imali su za cilj da obuhvate aktere u sistemu azila (MUP, sudije Prekršajnog suda, Centri za socijalni rad, Opštine, Nacionalne službe za zapošljavanje, zdravstvene i obrazovne ustanove, uprava Centara za azil) i da unaprede konkretna znanja i tehnike u pružanju pomoći i radu sa tražiocima azila, pravnom okviru azilnog sistema u Srbiji, nadležnostima i odgovornostima institucija u azilnom sistemu, primeni zakona u praksi, problemima, prazninama i nedostacima zakona, položaju migranata i tražilaca azila u Srbiji i pravima koja su ima garantovana.

Na treninzima su podeljeni novi priručnici APC/CZA o odgovornostima, nadležnostima, praksi i u azilu u Srbiji.

Nevladine organizacije optužile bugarske vlasti da informacije o identitetu azilanata dostavljaju sirijskoj ambasadi

Bugarski helsinški komitet-BHC, član Evropskog saveta za izbeglice i migrante- ECRE je izneo navode da bugarsko Ministarstvo unutrašnjih poslova dostavlja sirijskoj ambasadi u Sofiji podatke o sirijskim tražiocima azila, uključujući i biometrijske otiske prstiju. U otvorenom pismu koje je Bugarski helsinški komitet uputio Ministarstvu unutrašnjih poslova Bugarske, posebno je istaknuto da je dostavljanje bilo kojih informacija o tražiocima azila zemljama iz kojih potiču ozbiljno narušavanje ljudskih prava i da je protivno domaćem i međunarodnom izbegličkom pravu. Takođe, istaknuto je da se na taj način ugrožava bezbednost Sirijaca koji se nalaze na teritoriji Bugarske.

Bugarska državna agencija za izbeglice (State Agency for Refugees-SAR) dostavlja biografije tražioca azila, otiske prstiju i ostale biometrijske podatke sirijskoj ambasadi u Sofiji, navodno da bi utvrdila identitet ljudi koji tvrde da su iz Sirije.

Odobren novi sistem kontrole granice EU

Ministri za evropske poslove članica EU 22. oktobra 2013.godine su odobrili uspostavljanje novog sistema nadozra granice Unije, nazvanog Eurosur. Sistem bi trebalo da bude uspostavljen u decembru 2013.godine i da omogući jaču kontrolu spoljne granice EU na kopnu i moru, u šengenskom prostoru.

Eurosur bi trebalo da pomogne u sprečavanju tragedija poput stradanja ilegalnih imigranata kod ostrva Lampeduze početkom oktobra 2013.godine. Naime, početkom oktobra 2013.godine kod itlijanskog ostrva Lampeduza u dva brodoloma najmanje 400 migranata se udavilo.

Radionice u osnovnim i srednjim školama

U okviru projekta "Šta znamo, a šta ne znamo jedni o drugima" koji Centar za zaštitu i pomoć tražiocima azila (APC/CZA) realizuje uz podršku Kancelarije za ljudska i manjinska prava Republike Srbije, u osnovnim i srednjim školama tokom oktobra i novembra se organizuju radionice o kulturološkim, socijalnim, društvenim i običajnim razlikama u zemljama iz kojih dolaze migranti i borave u Srbiji.

APC/CZA psiholog i politikolog-istraživač u okviru nastave građanskog vaspitanja, veronauke, istorije i geografije sa mladima iz Beograda i iz lokalnih sredina u kojima borave tražioci azila, upoznaju mlade sa fenomenom migracija, izazovima integracije, kulturološkim i običajnim razlikama među zemljama, ali i različitom položaju dece, poštovanju ljudskim i dečijih prava u zemljama porekla tražilaca azila i drugih migranata.

APC/CZA na Belgrade Ignite-u

Jovana Vinčić iz Centra za zaštitu i pomoć tražiocima azila (APC/CZA) govorila je u okviru Belgrade Ignite-a održanog 21.oktobra u Mikser Hausu. U okviru prezentacije govorila je o pravnoj i psihosocijalnoj podršci koju APC/CZA pruža tražiocima azila kroz redovan rad na terenu. Predstavljeni su i primeri dobre prakse organizovanja aktivnosti u lokalnim zajednicama u kojima žive azilanti a sve sa ciljem uspostavljanja i učvršćivanja kontakata među različitim kulturama.

Azilni kutak

Centar za zaštitu i pomoć tražiocima azila je 9.oktobra u Kulturnom centru "Hadži Ruvim" osnovao Azilni kutak, prostor u kojem će ista organizacija dva puta mesečno organizovati aktivnosti sa ciljem uspostavljanja čvršćih kontakata lokalnih građanki i azilantkinja iz Bogovađe.
Dva puta mesečno, žene i deca će imati priliku da učestvuju u zajedničkim druženjima uvek istražujući neki običaj ili osobenost zemalja porekla tražilaca azila ali i Srbije i lajkovačkog kraja. Već tokom prvog susreta azilantkinje i građanke su međusobno pravile afričke frizure.

Predata peticija za produženje radnog vremena lekara u ambulanti u Bogovađi

Izvršni direktor Centra za zaštitu i pomoć tražiocima azila (APC/CZA), Radoš Đurović, je 9.oktobra 2013. godine predao predsedniku opštine Lajkovac, Živoradu Bojičiću, peticiju za uvođenje lekara puno radno vreme u ambulanti u Bogovađi kako bi usluge primarne zdravstvene zaštite bile dostupne lokalnim meštanima i azilantima do 18h svakog radnog dana, a imajući u vidu tešku situaciju u Bogovađi te sve veći broj ljudi koji u ovom mestu živi ili se kratkotrajno zadržava.

Tragedija afričkih migranata

Evropska obala postaje predaleka često baš kad je na vidiku. Veliki broj brodolomnika s jedne strane i činjenica da se samo u ovoj godini na obale Italije i Malte iskrcalo više od 30 hiljada ljudi sa druge strane, otvaraju nekoliko pitanja: Šta će Evropa učiniti da pojača spasilačke kapacitete mediteranskih zemalja?

Mogu li zemlje južne Evrope same da se izbore sa ogromnim brojem nevoljnika koji traže spas i kakav - takav život severnije od mesta svog rođenja? Da li ogromna neravnoteža u raspodeli resursa, hrane i ekonomske moći između bogatog severa i ekstremno siromašnog juga preti da za Evropu postane problem koji se više ne može gurati pod tepih?

Bogati napred, ostali stoj!

Dok se imigranti dave u Sredozemlju, članice EU izdaju boravišne dozvole za novac. Kupac kuće u Letoniji od 71.000 evra ima Evropu „na dlanu".

Ako je sirotinja, kao u narodnoj izreci, i Bogu teška, normalno je da neće biti dobrodošla ni kod Italijana, Francuza, Španaca, Nemaca...

Stotine siromašnih izbeglicase dave  u Sredozemnom moru, pa nedavna nesreća kod italijanskog ostrva Lampeduze nije ništa novo. U isto vreme, neke članice Evropske unije jedva čekaju da izdaju dozvole boravka bogatim Rusima, Kinezima, Arapima... Svako ko može da plati - dobrodošao je!

Nemačka, oaza za tražioce azila iz Srbije

Građani Srbije su među najbrojnijim tražiocima azila u Nemačkoj. Iako je Srbija imala manje azilanata tokom prethodne tri godine, samo u avgustu 2013.godine, građani Srbije su podneli hiljadu sto sedamdeset zahteva za azil u Nemačkoj. Iz Brisela najavljuju da će novi mehanizam za ukidanje bezviznog režima stupiti na snagu krajem 2013.godine.

Omiljeno odredište gastarbajtera je i poslednja oaza za tražioce azila iz Srbije. Nemačka je jedna od retkih zemalja koje i dalje imaju problem sa srpskim azilantima.

"Uglavnom su u pitanju ljudi s juga Srbije, predominantno se radi o romskoj populaciji. To su ljudi sa ozbiljnim socijalnim i zdravstvenim problemima koji traže spas", kaže Radoš Đurović iz Centra za pomoć tražiocima azila.

Tragedija kod obala Italije, utopila se 94 migranta iz Afrike

Najmanje 94 imigranta su se udavila 3.oktobra 2013.godine kod ostrva Lampeduze na jugu Italije kada je potonuo njihov brod kojim su putovali iz Afrike. Najmanje 151 osoba je spasena.

Đuzi Nikolini, gradonačelnica opštine Lampeduza  je izjavila da su spasilačke službe pronašle tela 82 osobe, među kojima su dvoje dece i nekoliko žena.

Video-Revijalni turnir u malom fudbalu- političari i azilanti

Povodom obeležavanja Dana opštine i Dana oslobođenja Lajkovca 22.septembra 2013. godine je odigran revijalni turnir u malom fudbalu. Zbog lošeg vremena, turnir u malom fudbalu je odigran u nedelju 22. septembra 2013.godine, sa početkom u 10 časova iako je bio najavljen za 17. septembar 2013.godine, kada je Opština Lajkovac proslavila Dan oslobođenja u Drugom svetskom ratu. Ekipe političkih partija Socijalističke partije Srbije, Srpske napredne stranke i Demokratske stranke iz Lajkovca i ekipa tražilaca azila iz centra u Bogovađi su odmerile snage na sportskom terenu u formaciji šest na šest. Organizator ovog revijalnog turnira, koji je privukao pažnju velikog broja lajkovčana,  je nevladina organizacija Centar za zaštitu i pomoć tražiocima azila  u saradnji sa Opštinom Lajkovac.

Međunarodno takmičenje, vatreno navijanje i dobar fudbal u Lajkovcu

Na terenu za mali fubal u Lajkovcu, u organizaciji Opštine Lajkovac i Centra za zaštitu i pomoć tražiocima azila i uz podršku Komesarijata za izbeglice i migracije Srbije i svih političkih partija u Lajkovcu, održane su 22.septembra fudbalske utakmice između azilanata iz Bogovađe i lokalnih političkih partija i građana.

Igrače je sa tribina bodrila podrška iz Bogovađe i Lajkovca, a skupu je prisustvovalo pored Lajkovčana dosta mladih azilantkinja iz Somalije, Eritreje, Sirije. Azilanti Bogovađe su nosili plavo bele dresove na kojima je bila ispisana poruka Zdravlje na prvom mestu u Bogovađi što je i cilj kampanje koja je pokrenuta u Bogovađi da građani Bogovađe i azilanti imaju doktora koji bi radio obe smene u ambulanti u Bogovađi. Na taj način ni azilanti ni građani Bogovađe ne bi morali da idu za Lajkovac kod doktora već bi svi mogli da se redovno pregledaju u ambulanti u njihovom mestu.

Video sa izložbe radova dece i žena tražilaca azila

U galeriji Kulturnog centra „Hadži Ruvim" u Lajkovcu 6. septembra je postavljena izložba radova žena i dece tražilaca azila u organizaciji Centra za zaštitu i pomoć tražiocima azila i Kulturnog centra Hadži Ruvim i uz svesrdnu pomoć Komesarijata za izbeglice Republike Srbije.

Na postavci su predstavljeni radovi i radni materijali žena i dece azilanata nastali tokom kreativnih, psiholoških, kulturoloških i zdravstvenih radionica koje Centar za zaštitu i pomoć tražiocima azila (APC/CZA) realizuje u centrima za azil u Bogovađi i Banji Koviljači.

Angelika Namaika dobitnica ovogodišnje Nansenove nagrade

Visoki komeserijat Ujedinjenih nacija za izbeglice je 17.septembra 2013.godine objavio ime ovogodišnje dobitnice Nansenove nagrade, koja se dodeljuje organizacijama ili pojedincima koji su učinili najviše za izbeglice.

Dobitnica ovog prestižnog priznanje za 2013.godinu je opatica Angelika Namaika (Angelique Namaika) za njen rad sa žrtvama raseljavanja i zlostavljanja od strane pobunjeničke grupe Gospodova armija otpora (Lord's Resistance Army-LRA) na severoistoku Demokratske Republike Konga.

Svaki treći tražilac azila dolazi iz Sirije

Tokom 2013. godine, u dva prihvatna centra za azilante u Srbiji, svaka treća osoba stigla je iz Sirije. Prema podacima UNHCR-a, zbog građanskog rata koji u Siriji traje od marta 2011. godine, dva miliona Sirijaca žive u izbeglištvu.

Zbog rata u Siriji, povećava se broj azilanata u Srbiji, a još više bi moglo da ih bude u naredna dva meseca, procenjuju nevladine organizacije. Ove godine svaka treća osoba u dva prihvatna centra u Srbiji stigla je iz Sirije.

Mnogi od njih zemlju su napustili mesecima ranije, pa su vesti o upotrebi hemijskog oružja i mogućoj intervenciji saznali u Srbiji.

Sirijci preplavili okolinu Valjeva, spavaju u šumama i dvorištima vikendica

Oko 30 izbeglica iz Afrike i Azije, od kojih je polovina iz Sirije, 16.septembra 2013.godine je ispred zgrade valjevske policije čekalo papire sa kojima će zakucati na već prebukirani Centar za smeštaj azilanata u Bogovađi. Dok ne dobiju krevet, tuš i obrok u Centru, posle meseci bežanja iz ratom zahvaćene domovine, Sirijce očekuju sve hladnije noći pod vedrim nebom, u šumarcima ili dvorištima vikendica u Bogovađi.

Svakodnevno u Srbiju stiže četrdesetak izbeglica iz afričkih i azijskih zemalja, od kojih je svaki treći iz Sirije. Dok iz valjevske Policijske uprave upozoravaju da se radi o "dramatičnom" povećanju broja azilanata, u Centru za njihov smeštaj u Bogovađi kod Lajkovca kažu da su već prebukirani i da se u njemu tiska 150 nevoljnika iz više od 30 zemalja "trećeg sveta".

Prepreke unutar Evropske unije koje vode do neujednačenog tretmana prema tražiocima azila

Početkom septembra 2013.godine na sajtu Azilne baze podataka (Asylum Information Database- AIDA), osnovane od strane Evropskog programa za integraciju migranata (Programme on Integration of Migrants EPIM) u saradnji sa Evropskim savetom za izbeglice i migrante (European Council on Refugees and Exiles-ECRE) Irskim savetom za izbeglice (Irish Refugee Councile) i Helsinškim komitetom Mađarske (Hungarian Helsinki Committee), je objavljen godišnji izveštaj: Mišljenje nevladinih organizacija o izazovima za uspostavljanje efikasnog i pravičnog Zajedničkog evropskog sistema azila (Not there yet: An NGO Perspective on Challenges to a Fair and Effective Common European Asylum System).

Zemlje Evropske unije od 1999.godine rade na uspostavljanju Zajedničkog evropskog sistema azila (Common European Asylum System-CEAS) u cilju ujednačavanja azilnih sistema zemalja članica pri donošenju odluka u azilu.

Sirijac u Srbiji pronašao spas: Nisam hteo da ubijam

Srbija je za Jakuba kapija na izlazu iz pakla. Pakao je ostao u njegovoj otadžbini-Siriji. Kada krišom, pod okriljem noći i uz pomoć krijumčara, pređe granicu sa Mađarskom, put pred njim biće otvoren. Sve do Švedske. Obećane zemlje za izbeglice poput njega.

Jakub, naravno, nije njegovo pravo ime. Iako je u Srbiji legalno, kao tražilac azila, put će uskoro nastaviti ilegalno kao i do sada. Krijumčarskim stazama. Skrivajući se u gepeku nekog automobila ili tajnoj pregradi u kamionu. Sanjajući Siriju u požaru.

Fudbalska utakmica – azilanti, građani i političke partije u Lajkovcu

U okviru projekta „Zagovaranje pružanja primarne zdravstvene zaštite azilantima i građanima u seoskoj ambulanti u Bogovađi" biće organizovana utakmica u malom fudbalu u utorak, 17. septembra u 16h na Terenu za mali fudbal u Lajkovcu (Mini pič teren). Na utakmici će učestvovati azilanti iz Bogovađe i lokalni građani kao i predstavnici političkih partija lajkovačkog kraja.

Slogan pod kojim nastupa tim tražilaca azila iz Bogovađe je Zdravlje na prvom mestu a organizovanje prijateljske fudbalske utakmice jedna je od lokalnih akcija kojom Centar za zaštitu i pomoć tražiocima azila (APC/CZA) nastoji da skrene pažnju lokalne javnosti na potrebu za zdravstvenom zaštitom u Bogovađi.
Potreba za lekarom postoji za 700 građana Bogovađe i za azilante u tom mestu. Svi zajedno bi želeli da imaju doktora dostupnog puno radno vreme u Bogovađi kako bi umesto u Lajkovcu primarnu zdravstvenu zaštitu ostvarivali u svom mestu.
Trenutno u centar za azil u Bogovađi dnevno dolazi oko 20 novih tražilaca azila među kojima ima i žena, dece i beba. Za neke od azilanata nema mesta u kampu pa spavaju u okolini kampa ili na otvorenom. Mnogi su prošli dalek i težak put do Bogovađe. Potreban im je lekar da ih zaštiti od bolesti, rana, promrzlina, povreda sa puta.

Ovaj projekat Centra za zaštitu i pomoć tražiocima azila je u celini realizovan uz finansijsku podršku Američke agencije za međunarodni razvoj (USAID) kroz projekat "Građansko društvo za budućnost", koji Trag fondacija realizuje u partnerstvu sa Institutom za održive zajednice (ISC);.

Izložba radova dece i žena tražilaca azila

U galeriji Kulturnog centra „Hadži Ruvim" u Lajkovcu 6. septembra je postavljena izložba radova žena i dece tražilaca azila u organizaciji Centra za zaštitu i pomoć tražiocima azila i Kulturnog centra "Hadži Ruvim" a uz svesrdnu pomoć Komesarijata za izbeglice Republike Srbije.

Na postavci su bili predstavljeni radovi i radni materijali žena i dece azilanata nastali tokom kreativnih, psiholoških, kulturoloških i zdravstvenih radionica koje Centar za zaštitu i pomoć tražiocima azila (APC/CZA) realizuje u centrima za azil u Bogovađi i Banji Koviljači.
Izložba je bila namenjena đacima lajkovačke Osnovne škole „Mile Dubljević", njihovim roditeljima i učiteljima. Događaju su prisustvovale i tražilje azila koje su đacima, roditeljima i prosvetnim radnicima delila na poklon bukmarkere i narukvice koje su žene i deca azilanti napravili, kao i azilne priče ljudi koji su boravili u našoj zemlji.

Izloženi radovi odražavaju emotivna stanja dece i žena azilanata. Predstavljene su lepe uspomene koje pamte iz svojih domovina (rođenje prvog deteta, drveće manga iz svog dvorišta, porodično pripremanje začina, piramide u Egiptu...), ali i strahove, očekivanja od budućnosti (topli domovi i lepe dečije sobe, polazak u školu, bezbedan život u Evropi, posao, deca..), kreativno provođenje vremena tokom boravka u Srbiji (razgovori i diskusije sa decom i ženama iz drugih zemalja, pravljenje zmajeva, crtanje kanom po rukama, pravljenje nakita). Posebno upečatljivi su radovi maloletnog tražioca poreklom iz Alžira, koji je privremeno boravio u Srbiji. Na jednom crtežu je napisao Zaljubio sam se u poeziju zbog grubosti ljudi od kojih sam pobegao.

Ovo je jedna od aktivnosti koje APC/CZA realizuje u drugoj polovini godine u Lajkovcu i Bogovađi sa ciljem upoznavanja dece i odraslih žitelja ovog šumadijskog kraja sa drugim kulturama, jezicima i običajima njihovih trenutnih sugrađana-azilanata.

Sirijska golgota u Srbiji

U Srbiju dnevno stiže oko 40 tražilaca azila, od kojih više od trećinu čine izbeglice iz Sirije, a Centar za azilanate u selu Bogovađa kod Lajkovca trenutno je prepunjen.

Dok čekaju da budu primljeni u prihvatni centar, tražioci azila su primorani da se sami snalaze za smeštaj i hranu po okolnim šumama, napuštenim kućama i praznim vikendicama.

"U Centru za azil u Bogovađi trenutno se nalazi 150 tražilaca azila, od kojih 44 izbeglice iz Sirije, a dnevno u kamp pristiže oko 40 novih tražilaca azila, od toga 15-ak poreklom iz Sirije", rekao je pravni savetnik i pomoćnik upravnika Centra za prihvat azilanata u Bogovađi, Milan Vladić.

Izbeglice iz Sirije preplavile Bugarsku

Svakog dana između 40 i 60 Sirijaca ilegalno prelazi bugarsku granicu, kažu vlasti u Sofiji, zbog čega su objekti za smeštaj azilanata širom Bugarske prenatrpani. Mnogi od njih nemaju lične stvari, novac i dokumenta, pa ne mogu da se izdržavaju.

Nidal, sirijski tehničar za dizel motore, u Bugarsku je pobegao od rata u svojoj rodnoj zemlji pre više od pola godine. Pošto je proveo neko vreme u centru za izbeglice na granici sa Turskom i u jednom privremenom izbegličkom logoru, sada se nalazi u objektu u Sofiji i čeka na status koji bi mu omogućio da se pridruži svojoj porodici u Turskoj.

Pobegli smo kada su počeli da ubijaju decu

U prepunom Centru za azilante u Bogovađi, od 150 izbeglica koji su ovde našli spas, sedamdeset ih je iz Sirije. Još šestorica Sirijaca su u obližnjoj šumi, gdje danima čekaju na krevet u Centru za azil.

Daleko od kuće slušaju vesti da je Barak Obama naredio vojnu akciju protiv sirijskog predsednika Bašara el Asada, koga nazivaju krvolokom i zbog kog su pobegli sve do Srbije.

Iz razorenog Alepa, gde su se vodile teške borbe između vojnika lojalnih Asadu i pobunjenika, učiteljica Hajam je sa 13-godišnjim sinom Bašarom pre osam dana stigla u Srbiju.

Švedska: Azil će dobiti svi podnosioci zahteva iz Sirije

Švedska je postala prva zemlja Evropske unije koja je 3.septembra 2013.godine saopštila da će dati azil svim sirijskim izbeglicama koje podnesu zahtev.

"Svi sirijski azilanti, koji su podneli zahtev za azil u Švedskoj, dobiće ga", rekla je portparolka švedske Agencije za migracije, Ani Hornblad.

Prema njenim rečima, Agencija je donela tu odluku sada "jer veruje da se nasilje u Siriji neće završiti u bliskoj budućnosti". Hornbladova je dodala da će ova odluka, kojom izbeglice dobijaju status stalnog boravka, važiti dok ne bude drugačije odlučeno.

Broj izbeglica iz Sirije premašio dva miliona

Broj izbeglica iz Sirije, gde se već dve i po godine vodi građanski rat (od marta 2011.godine), premašio je dva miliona i skoro je 10 puta veći nego pre godinu dana, stoji u saopštenju UNHCR-a od 3. septembra 2013.godine.

Iz Sirije masovno odlaze žene, deca i muškarci koji prelaze granicu skoro samo sa odećom koju nose na sebi - naveo je UNHCR u saopštenju, ističući da je 3. septembra 2013. godine bilo registrovano samo 230.671 sirijskih izbeglica.

Prema podacima UNHCR-a, osim dva miliona Sirijaca koji žive u izbeglištvu, oko 4,25 miliona ljudi je raseljeno unutar Sirije.

Izložba "Obećna zemlja" pripreljena je kao produkt višegodišnjeg praćenja i dokumentovanja života ilegalnih migranata smeštenih u privremenim ilegalnim naseljima u Srbiji u kojima je fotografkinja Merlin Nađ Torma kao saradnica Centra za zaštitu i pomoć tražiocima azila (APC/CZA) pružala pomoć migrantima. Ona je beležila težak život, probleme koje migranti imaju tokom puta kao i njihove improvizovane načine da redovne dnevne aktivnosti izvedu - kuvanje, brijanje i održavanj higijene, pravljenje skloništa, punjenje baterija mobilnih telefona...

PUBLICATION - Asylum seekers and irregular migrants in Serbia

The aim of the research conducted by the Asylum Protection Center (APC / CZA) which was presented in the publication "The asylum seekers and irregular migrants in Serbia" is to highlight the new and rather unknown side of migration and asylum to the experts and the general public as a phenomenon that is increasingly present in our society and the region.

In just a few years, Serbia has faced two unknowns for the first time ever: establishment of the asylum system and the growing pressure of irregular migration within and through its territory. For the first time citizens have met with the strangers of other races, cultures and civilizations in the places where they live, or read in the media about the foreigners who reside in the local communities in the interior of Serbia. At the same time, the competent state authorities, government representatives and the courts have before them the matter of asylum which until recently was unknown and where they have challenges of additional training and gaining experience that represent strong aggravating factors in personal engagement and in the functioning of asylum system in Serbia in general. On the other hand, citizens of Serbia are not sufficiently familiar and often were misinformed about the asylum population. Consequently, among the citizens is being created resistance to asylum seekers, unfounded fear and misunderstanding.

Research conducted by APC / CZA between March 2012 to March 2013 year, has provided the answers to the questions about the road, ways of travel, needs, problems, expectations of asylum seekers and irregular migrants, reasons for abandoning the country of origin, experiences that they had during their stay and travel through Serbia. The study also provides recommendations how to correct the deficiencies of the asylum system in Serbia. Since the psychological profile of migrants and asylum seekers on the migration path is insufficiently researched material, so as the fact that the largest number of migrants and asylum seekers in Serbia ends up in one of the developed European countries at the end of this chain migration, the analysis will also be useful for foreign experts and general public of the European countries of destination of the migrants.

Germany still records a large number of asylum applications from Serbia

Only in July 2013, 9,500 people requested asylum in Germany. That's almost twice as much as in the same month last year. German authorities are concerned. Most of asylum seekers comes from Chechnya, but there are still plenty of those from Serbia.

The largest number of asylum seekers, more than 11,500, has a Russian passport. 90% of them came from Chechnya. They come from the region of the Caucasus where has been recorded a lot of human rights violations due to the escalation of conflicts, said Guenter Burkhardt from the "Pro asylum" organization. He warns that an increase in the number of asylum seekers in Germany should not be used for the election campaign.

One more Syrian received asylum in Serbia

One more person from Syria has received asylum in Serbia in July 2013. Once again, as in all previous cases when the asylum was granted in Serbia, Syrian was represented by the Asylum Protection Centre (APC / CZA).

Since he was a supporter of the opposition, Mukhtar and his family had to leave their country. His family has managed to migrate to the neighboring Arab countries, while he was the only one who succeeded to come in Serbia. Arrests of smugglers on the border of Albania and Montenegro

.On August 13th, 2013, Albanian police have arrested 43 Pakistanis and Moroccans near the town of Gjirokastra, who planned to illegally cross the border with Montenegro, in order to proceed to Western Europe. According to local media, two Albanian citizens who were supposed to transport a group of Pakistanis and Moroccans to Montenegro were also arrested.

Illegal migrants have first crossed from Greece into Albania at the border crossing Kakavija and planned to continue from Montenegro to Western Europe.

Report of the Austrian Interior Ministry about the migratory routes

Routes for transfer of the illegal migrants to the countries of the EU are increasingly diverted to the east of Europe, indicates the report of the Austrian Interior Ministry.

Researchers pay special attention to Subotica and the centers for asylum seekers in Serbia, from where the Serbian criminal organizations transfer the illegal migrants.

The number of persons who illegally entered or were illegally transferred to Austria in 2012, compared to 2011, has increased by 5%, up to 22,000 of illegal migrants.

Migrants are loosing their lives trying to reach European coast

The Italian Coast Guard on August 10th 2013 found six bodies of illegal immigrants at a beach in Sicily, which is believed to be citizens of Syria, while 100 people are rescued.

According to Italian investigators, they probably were in a group of about 120 people, including women and children, whose boat sank in an attempt to land on the Italian coast. Bodies were found by workers on the beach nearby second largest city in Sicily, Catania. Other passengers of a small fishing boat that the migrants were traveling by, they were transferred to the mainland and it is assumed that they are all Syrians.

Series of most brutal attacks in last five years in Iraq

At the end of the fast of Ramadan at least 80 people were killed in a series of attacks in mainly Shi'ite areas of Baghdad. The targets were different and various, from cafes to restaurants and markets. In the attack were injured more than 200 people.

In bomb attack, in Baghdad on August 10th 2013, 57 people were killed. Also, 20 people lost their lives in the attacks in the other parts of Iraq during celebration of Eid. In a series of attacks on August10th , there have been 12 explosions, most of them in city areas with a lot of traffic, including city parks, in which during the holiday there were a lot of families. Authorities claims that most of the attacks were carried out coordinated.

Ova bivša poslanica Evropskog parlamenta danas spava na podu stana koji se nalazi u podrumu jedne zgrade u Torontu i suočava se sa mogućom deportacijom.Mohači se nada da će ubediti kanadske vlasti da joj odobre politički azil jer je, navodno, njen život ugrožen u demokratskoj državi kakva je Mađarska.

More illegal immigrants in Macedonia

In the end of July 2013. renowned photographer Sebastian Rich opened the exhibition of photos documenting difficult condition migrants from war countries are facing. Sebastian Rich calls himself "photoreporter at the right place at the wrong time".

In the last 40 years, with his camera, Rich captured every major conflict. He was wounded, kidnapped, held hostage, but nothing stopped him capturing human tragedies with his camera.

On the exhibition called "Broken lives" central figures are Syrian reffugees in Jordan and civilians geared with conflicts between government forces and rebels in South Sudan.

EU se pretvara u netolerantno društvo

"Da bi se unapredila ljudska prava migranata u EU, ali i zemljama u njenom okruženju, neophodno je pre svega poštovati evropske i međunarodne zakone o ljudskim pravima. Takođe, potrebno je da sve države ratifikuju Konvenciju Ujedinjenih nacija o pravima radnika migranata" izjavila je Karolin Intran, portparolka kampanje Frontex Exit.

" Migracioni sistem u Evropi ne bi trebalo da bude zasnovan na sve većem pooštravanju represije uz objašnjenje da se to čini zarad bezbednosti evropskih građana. Takvom politikom stvara se začarani krug čija krajnja konsekvenca može biti jedino netolerantnije i fragmentiranije društvo. Međutim, ovakav trend izgleda da ne brine evropske političare, naprotiv" kaže Karolin Intran iz Frontex Exita, kampanje koja je pre nekoliko godina pokrenuta kao opozicija Frontexu - Evropskoj agenciji za upravljanje operativnom saradnjom na spoljnim granicama država članica Evropske unije.

Snoudenu privremeni azil u Rusiji

Edvard Snouden je 1.avgusta 2013. godine dobio privremeni azil u Rusiji u trajanju od godinu dana. Njegov advokat Antalij Kučerena je izjavio da je Snouden od ruske Federalne migracione službe dobio dokumenta koja mu omogućuju da napusti tranzitnu zonu aerodroma Šeremetjevo u Moskvi.

" Upravo sam mu uručio dokumenta Federalne migracione službe (FMS). Pomoću njih on može da izađe iz tranzitne zone" rekao je Kučerena novosti sa aerodroma Šeremetjevo, nakon čega je izjavio da je Snouden već napustio tranzitnu zonu i ušao na teritoriju Rusije.

APC/CZA na Danima Lajkovca

Tokom akcije promovisanja različitosti lajkovačkog kraja, APC/CZA je građanima u okviru manifestacije „Dani Lajkovca" 28. i 29. jula promovisao poslastice karakteristične za zemlje iz kojih dolaze tražioci azila. Tom prilikom su građanima deljene razglednice nastale na radionicama sa ženama i decom azilantima, bookmarkeri i azilne priče.

Štand je privukao pažnju velikog broja meštana koji su se raspitivali za zemlje porekla tražilaca azila, njihovu kulturu, jezik i osobenosti. Akcija je jedna u nizu koje će APC organizovati kako bi meštanima Bogovađe i Lajkovca približio kulturu, običaje, modu i druge odlike tražilaca azila.

Srbija na četvrtom mestu po broju podnetih zahteva za azil

Srbija se po broju zaheva za azil u Nemačkoj u prvoj polovini 2013. godine nalazi na četvrtom mestu, navedeno je u izveštaju Savezne službe za migracije i izbeglice, koji je objavilo nemačko Ministarstvo unutrašnjih poslova i po kome su građani Srbije za šest meseci 2013. godine podneli nadležnoj službi 2.682 molbe.

Prema izveštaju Savezne službe za migracije i izbeglice, u junu 2013. godine je podneto 525 zahteva građana Srbije za azil u Nemačkoj, što je više nego u maju 2013. godine, kada je bilo 400 molbi.

The highest number of migrants in Serbia are from Eritrea

Among those who seek asylum in Serbia and then continue their way to the EU, there are still many citizens of Syria and Somalia, but more and more of them are coming from Sudan and Mali.

Over 2,723 people in 2012 requested asylum in Serbia, 1,560 of them were accommodated in centers for asylum seekers in Banja Koviljača and Bogovađa. In just the first six months of 2013- 1,516 of foreign citizens have asked for asylum crosing the border, and 1,112 passed through the above mentioned center. From these figures it can be concluded that the number of migrants is slightly rising, but there are no rules in this statistics - number of asylum seekers occasionally increases and decreases, sometimes so much that there are plenty of free space in, an otherwise mostly filled, asylum centers in Banja Koviljača and Bogovađa.

„Frontex“ report on Western Balkan countries

Number of asylum applications from Bosnia and Herzegovina in May 2013 was higher by 13 percent compared to April 2013, according to the latest data of European Agency for External Borders (Frontex) in a report on monitoring the effects of visa liberalization. According to the data, on all other countries of the Western Balkan (Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia and Albania) the number of asylum applications has been reduced. Asylum seekers from Serbia have about 45 percent of all these countries.

The highest number of asylum seekers from Bosnia and Herzegovina remains interested in Sweden, where have been registered an increase of 85% percent in May 2013 compared to April 2013, while in all other countries have been registered a decrease in the number of applications. Thus, for example, in May 2013 in Switzerland was 60 percent less applications, 30 percent in Belgium and 12 percent less in Germany.

Snowden asked for temporary asylum in Russia

The fugitive former associate of the Central Intelligence Agency, Edward Snowden applied for a temporary asylum in Russia on July16th2013, said the famous Russian lawyer Anatoly Kučerena.

Kučerena, participated in the last week held meeting of Snowden and human rights activists. Hesaid that he is helping the world's most celebrated fugitive to cope with the complexity of Russian legislation and to explain the differences between the status of refugees, political asylum and temporary asylum.

Attacks on Copts in Egypt are continuing

Since the ouster of Egyptian President Mohamed Morsi on July 3rd 2013 the general insecurity in the country is caused by due to by numerous attacks on Egyptian Christians, the Copts.

Since the overthrow of Morsi, at least four Copts were killed and several Christian churches were burned and looted. An additional problem is that the Egyptian government is not doing anything to protect the Copts from violence.

Jeremić: Broj migranata u porastu

Broj migranata je u porastu budući da je globalizacija dovela do nove ere mobilnosti, ali migracije ne smeju da povećavaju nejednakost među ljudima i državama, poručio je predsednik Generalne skupštine UN Vuk Jeremić.

U sklopu pripremnih aktivnosti za dijalog na visokom nivou o Međunarodnoj migraciji i razvoju koji će biti održan 3. i 4. oktobra 2013.godine, Jeremić je 15. jula 2013.godine održao neformalnu diskusiju na tu temu sa predstavnicima nevladinih organizacija, civilnog društva i privatnim sektorom u sedištu UN.

Bogovađa: Glasina više nego azilanata

" U Centru za prihvat azilanata u Bogovađi, nadomak Lajkovca, trenutno ima dovoljno mesta, jer je u ovom objektu smešteno tek oko 80 tražilaca azila. Štaviše, zatvoren je i privremeni smeštaj u privatnoj kući, u obližnjem selu Vračević, otvoren krajem 2012.godine da se nevoljnici ne bi smrzli na otvorenom, s obzirom na to da je tada Centar u Bogovađi bio prebukiran " izjavila je 11. jula 2013. godine Jelena Marić iz Komesarijata za izbeglice Republike Srbije.

Ovim rečima, Jelena Marić demantuje informacije da azilanti, navodno, i dalje tumaraju po šumama, te smeštaj nalaze u vikendicama po Bogovađi.

Greek authorities endanger the lives of migrants and refugees by forcibly returning them in Turkey

Refugees and migrants who come from war-torn countries such as Syria and Afghanistan and trying to reach the EU via Greece are at high risk from being unlawfully and forcibly returned to the territory of Turkey by the Greek border police or coast guard. Refugees and illegal migrants who were forcibly returned to Turkey often risk being arrested by the Turkish authorities and placed in custody.

Non-governmental organizations (NGOs) do not have access to these detention centers in Turkey and therefore the provision of legal assistance to migrants and refugees is limited, which increases the risk that they will be driven back to their country of origin, where their lives may be in danger.

Asylum seekers resettled from Vracevic

Temporary reception center for asylum seekers who come mainly from African and Asian countries, in the village of Vracevic near Lajkovac, will definitely be closed in mid-July of 2013. The temporary center in Vracevic was founded in early 2013, due to lack of space in the Asylum Centre in Bogovadja.

The reason for closure of the temporary center in Vracevic is that the center for asylum seekers in Bogovadja now there is enough room for all asylum seekers. The capacity of the centre for asylum seekers in Bogovadja is 150 beds. That center was previously a resort of the Belgrade Red Cross, who rented the facility to the Commissariat for Refugees.

Getting rich by smuggling people

This "business" often brings much more money than the drug smuggling and carries much less risk. Bolivija i Vencuela ponudile azil Snoudenu

Predsednici Bolivije i Venecuele, Evo Morales i Nikolas Maduro, 6. jula 2013.godine su ponudili azil bivšem pripadniku američke Centralne obaveštajne agencije (CIA-e) Edvardu Soudenu.

Predsednik Bolivije, Evo Morales, je rekao da bi dao azil odbeglom američkom obaveštajcu Edvardu Snoudenu, koji se trenutno nalazi na aerodromu u Moskvi, ukoliko bi to ovaj zatražio. Prethodno, pomoć Snoudenu su ponudili i lideri Venecuele i Nikaragve.

Izjavljujući da se Bolivija "ne plaši" Sjedinjenih Američkih Država i njenih evropskih saveznika, Morales je rekao da bi bio voljan da da azil Amerikancu ukoliko ga on zatraži.

Žestoke borbe u Homsu, traži se pomoć za evakuaciju civila

Borbeni avioni sirijske vojske su 4. jula 2013.godine bombardovali centralni grad Homs, dok su se na kopnu vodile borbe između pobunjenika i vojnika. Ujedno su snage Asadovog režima napadale predgrađa Homsa koja drže pobunjenici.

Homs je uporište pobunjenika i jedan od simbola revolucije protiv sirijskog lidera, Bašara Asada. Na situaciju u Homsu 2. jula 2013.godine je upozorio i portparol generalnog sekretara UN Ban Ki-Muna i upozorio da je oko 2.500 civila zarobljeno u tom gradu, gde se odvijaju žestoke borbe. Ban Ki-Muna je pozvao zaraćene strane da učine sve da se izbegnu civilne žrtve.

Four amateur filmmakers in Hong Kong have beaten Hollywood to the draw by producing the first film on the escaped American intelligence agent Edward Snowden, a five-minute thriller depicting the intrigue surrounding the intelligence leaker when he was hiding in the city. The film was released on Tuesday, July the 2nd, 2013, on the website You Tube.

Shot in less than a week on a very small budget, the film imagines the drama which must have unfolded in Hong Kong leading up to Snowden's public appearance with the data on US surveillance programmes.

Kosovo introduced visas for 87 countries

Self-proclaimed Government of Kosovo decided to introduce a visa regime for 87 countries in May 2013. It was said that the visa regime will be based on the "threats to security of the state of Kosovo and in the interest of international peace and stability".

On July 1st, 2013, according to the Kosovo Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Kosovo has introduced a visa regime for 87 countries.

Based on the list published by the media, the visa regime will be, among others, applied to Russia and China, as well as Algeria, Cuba, Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Pakistan, Libya and Syria.

Over Serbia to the west

In recent years, Serbia has become a transit route for the illegal migrants from Africa and Asia that flee to Western Europe. Illegal migrants pay to our smugglers from 3 to 10 thousand euros for transit.

Serbia is a transit route in the last few years for illegal migrants from African and Asian countries that are fleeing to Western Europe. During the last week of June 2013, police of Nis revealed 21 illegal migrants for only two days.

By the Law Amending of the Law on Ratification of the Optional Protocol with the Convention against Torture and Other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading Treatment or Punishment it is prescribed that the Ombudsman of the Republic of Serbia performs duties of the National mechanism for the prevention of torture.

During 2012, the National mechanism for the prevention of torture (NPM) has dedicated attention on the treatment of the competent authorities towards those who have expressed an intention to seek asylum in the Republic of Serbia and that on this basis have the right to accommodation in the asylum centers.

The Republic of Serbia has put under its protection a Syrian citizen who left his country in order to save his life and to find a better tomorrow. In the procedure for receiving the status, Syrian was represented and provided with the help by the Asylum Protection Center (APC/CZA).

Hassan has already been well acquainted with Serbia. While he traveled through Europe, he often had the occasions to pass through Serbia and was coming back for a visit several times. During his stay in Serbia he made new friends and learned the Serbian language. He has finally decided to leave Syria when the conflict between the country and the rebels grown into the war and the war became a massacre of civilians.

Migracije u svetu u 2012.godini

Izveštaj Ujedinjenih nacija o migratornim kretanjima za 2012.godinu, je objavljen povodom Međunarodnog dana izbeglica 20.juna 2013.godine.

Ujedinjene nacije kažu da je broj izbeglica u svetu za 2012.godinu najveći u proteklih 18 godina, odnosno da iznosi oko 45, 2 miliona ljudi.

Približno 45,2 miliona ljudi širom sveta živi u raseljenju, većinom zbog neke vrste progona, konflikta u zemlji porekla ili uopšeno zbog kršenja ljudskih prava.U taj broj spada 15,4 miliona izbeglica, 937.000 tražilaca azila i 28,8 miliona interno raseljenih lica.

The policman who was smuggled asylum seekers arrested

The former chief of the police in Loznica Slavisa Mitrovic, who is now assigning as assistant chief of police in neighboring Krupanj, was arrested on June 25th 2013 near Presevo. Mitrovic was caught while driving a group of asylum seekers, who are presumably, entering the Serbia from Macedonia.

New camp for asylum seekers opened in Hungary

Thousands of migrants, mostly from the Far East has been passing and temporary staying in Subotica in last several years. Migrants who due to economical reasons or political instability in their home countries are trying to found a "better life" in the richer and more developed part of the world, in the European Union.

As the EU border are less reachable for these people than the walls of the medieval fortress, their attempts to pass Serbian-Hungarian and reach their final destination - Germany, France, Great Britain - came out as illegal cross-border actions, in which most of them ends up in prison or in fron of the courts.

Although it's been three years since the ministerial conference in Belgrade and the year after the donors have provided funds for the Regional Housing Program for refugees, not a single apartment still has not been built. UNHCR said that Serbia must establish an efficient, equitable and functional system for the processing of asylum seekers.

The world fails to get rid of a tragic phenomenon. Middle East, Southeast Asia, Africa... continue to be areas from which hundreds of thousands of people leave their homes and fleeing before wars and violence.

Arrest of smugglers in Macedonia

On Sunday, June 16th, Macedonian police arrested 15 people, among whom was one member of the Macedonian police, suspected for smuggling and trafficking. They are suspected for smuggling the migrants, who came from Asia and Africa, from Greece over Macedonia and Serbia to Western countries since the beginning of 2013.

In the action "Corridor", Macedonian police has discovered an international criminal group that transferred the migrants from Arabic and Asian countries to Serbia and after that to western European countries, confirmed the Macedonian Interior Minister, Gordana Jankulovska.

Migrants in Greece arrested besed on their physical appearance

According to the international human rights organization – Human Rights Watch (HRW), during the suppression of illegal migration Greek police often arrest people based on their physical appearance, but later shows that only a small number of them illegally residing in Greece.

In a report of the Human Rights Watch from June 2013, it was stated that migrants caught by the police are sometimes physically abused and often detained for hours until they establish their identity.

A group of smugglers arrested in the region

On May 30, 2013, the Department of the Criminal Police of Serbia arrested the members of the criminal group in the area of Pancevo, Subotica, Smederevska Palanka, Belgrade and Kanjiza. That group was accused for organization of illegal border crossing and smuggling in Turkey, Serbia, Hungary and Austria.

There is suspicion that they were as members of a criminal group, involved in the smuggling across the state border of the Republic of Serbia, committed 13 crimes of illegal transfer of mainly Turkish, Afghan and Serbian citizens from Kosovo and Metohija since October 2012 to May 2013. During these actions they managed to achieve significant financial benefit in the amount of tens of thousands of euros.

Odbornici Lajkovca traže zatvaranje Privremenog centra za azilante

Skupština opštine Lajkovac je 14.juna 2013.godine zatražila od Vlade Srbije da se zatvori Privremeni centar za azilante u selu Vračević. Ministarstvu za rad i socijalnu zaštitu odbornici su predložili da azilante iz Vračevića smeste u stalni Prihvatni centar u obližnjoj Bogovađi jer sada tamo ima mesta.

Naime, usled nedostatka mesta u Centru za azil u Bogovađi, a na osnovu zaključka Vlade Srbije, početkom 2013.godine je osnovan Privremeni centar za smeštaj azilanata u selu Vračević.

Desperate immigrant tried to enter the Spain by hanging next to the ferry propeller

Desperate illegal immigrant from Algeria (48) was so eager to get the opportunity to start a new life in Spain, that he tried to enter this country hanging next to the propeller of the ferry, just a few inches from the sharp blades that could cut off his head or limbs. In this position he spent more than two hours while the ship, he took from Tangiers in Morocco, was crossing the Straits of Gibraltar.

Emigrant had planned to jump into the water when the ferry come close to the shore and then swim to the coast. He would then avoid a border check point and illegally enter the country by jumping over a three meters high fence. However, National Police officers heard of his plan and waited for him on the shore, as the ship was docking at the port of Tarifa.

The unfortunate migrant was arrested and taken to an immigration detention centre. His bolt plan and arresting was recorded.

Australija: Nađena tela trinaest imigranata nakon brodoloma

Australijske pomorske snage su kasno uveče, 7. juna 2013.godine, uočile potopljeni brod u blizini severozapadne obale, nakon čega su spasilačke letelice i brodovi 8. juna 2013.godine pronašli tela nastradalih.

Australijske vlasti su 8. juna 2013.godine pronašle beživotna tela devetoro imigranata. Sledećeg dana pronađena su još četri tela.

BiH dobija prihvatni centar za azilante

Bosna i Hercegovina je krajem maja 2013.godine dobila novo prihvatilište za sve one koji traže azil u toj zemlji. Prihvatni centar se nalazi u selu Delijaš u opštini Trnovo, jednoj od sarajevskih opština. Ovo je prvo prihvatilište ove vrste u BiH, a njegovo formiranje je jedan od uslova za proces vizne liberalizacije te funkcionisanja procesa migracija i azila u BiH, a samim tim od značaja za proces evropskih integracija BiH. Smeštajni kapacitet objekta je 150 mesta.

Eksplozije blizu tursko-sirijske granice

Najmanje 43 osobe su poginule, a oko 140 ljudi je povređeno 11.maja 2013. godine u seriji eksplozija u gradu Rejhanliju na jugoistoku Turske, u blizini granice sa Sirijom.

Četiri eksplozije odjeknule su u malom gradu Rejhanliju na jugoistoku Turske, 11. maja 2013. godine. U oblasti u kojoj su se dogodile eksplozije ima 20 000 - 25 000 sirijskih izbeglica, kojima je Turska obezbedila utočište nakon što su pobegli iz Sirije usled dvogodišnjeg građanskog rata, koji traje od 2011. godine.

Migrants in Germany very often live without occupation and without perspective. But now, those who want can finish biannual course for social assistants. It is about education of a staff that is needed for the care of elderly and sick.

The number of migrants in the German retirement homes as well as the institutions for care of the elderly and infirm is on the rise. It is about immigrants of a so-called first-generation who managed to get a new home in Germany, but have maintained their customs, cuisine and habits from the old country. Many of them have never managed quite or very well to learn German. Their arrival in the previously mentioned institutions, can often be a problem for the staff because the migrants are in many ways different from the Germans. Caregivers, nurses, social workers are therefore referred for additional help. That help that they can get in the future from the young migrants.

25 human traffickers arrested in Croatia

In mid-May 2013., Croatian Office for Suppression of Corruption and Organized Crime (USKOK) has filed an indictment against three Afghans and seven citizens of Croatia for smuggling foreign citizens from Serbia to the countries of European Union.

In the international action against human trafficking, Croatian police have arrested 25 people in Osijek, Zagreb and Split. On May 14th 2013, within the same action, the police of Bosnia and Herzegovina have arrested 13 people.

The million people sought a better life in Germany in the year 2012

During the last year, due to the crisis in the south and south-east of Europe, Germany has reached a record number of migrants: 1.08 million. Experts say that kind of situation could serve as part of a solution for an already chronic lack of skilled labor.

In the year 2012 Germany has recorded the highest arrival of immigrants in the last 17 years, due to the large number of immigrants from member states of European Union that have fallen into a financial crisis. According to the Federal Office of Statistics, in the country have arrived 369,000 people more than those who went from Germany. Therefore, the German population is "enlarged" for the size of a bigger city.

Most immigrants come from Poland, Romania and Bulgaria. However, compared to the previous years, the most "increased" number is among the people who came from Spain, Greece, Portugal and Italy and seek a job.

A growing number of Afghans seeking asylum

For decades, Afghans has been fleeing out of the Afghanistan due to insecurity which was actually just a start of a risky trip abroad, where they sought asylum. Afghans are aware of the dangers, but also of the benefits that that trip can bring to them. Moreover, there is growing concern of what will happen after the international military troops withdraw from the country in 2014, causing more and more people to consider the possibility of looking for the better future far away from home.

A large number of Afghan asylum seekers arrive in Indonesia, thousands of miles away from their goal - the Australia, where they want to start a new life. Last year the government in Canberra announced that the number of asylum seekers increased by one third and largest single group were Afghans.

Many of them are young, educated and have a lot of working experience.

Six victims in the conflict between the Muslims and Copts in Egypt

On Friday, April the 5th, 2013., in town of Khusus first wave of religious conflicts between Christians and Muslims erupted causing death of five people.

Conflicts in Khusus, north of the capital of Cairo started on late Friday night, when a group of Christian children started drawing on the walls of a religious Muslim Institute. Apparently, the kids drew something on the wall that looked like a cross, which caused an insult to the Muslims.

In conflicts that broke out after that, one church was burned and the members of the two religious communities started to shoot at each other. Five people were killed - four Copts and one Muslim, eight people were wounded. Security sources said that Egyptian police have detained 15 people.

Djilas: There no logic in making the asylum centers on the territory of Belgrade

Today Belgrade Mayor Dragan Djilas supported the citizens of Mladenovac in their efforts to not allow construction of an asylum center in their municipality, saying that the state needs to provide the specific capacities for the asylum seekers.

Djilas was on the panel in Mladenovac, at which he spoke as president of the Democratic Party and pointed out that asylum seekers need to have a place and that the government has to build special capacities for them, but they certainly should not be in Mladenovac because of the difficult economic situation, low standard of living and a large number of refugees.

The Western Balkans, as a transit region to EU countries, continues to experience a growing number of migrants who illegally cross borders, according to the International Organisation for Migration. Analysts said that co-operation is the best way to solve the region-wide problem.

"An integrated regional approach is considered the best way of tackling the migration issues," Trpe Stojanovski, director of the Migration, Asylum and Refugees Regional Initiative, told SETimes. "The creation of common rules in the asylum procedures based on the respect of human rights in accordance with international laws is also important."

Beograd -- Dugotrajne procedure za rešavanje zahteva za azil u pojedinim zemaljama EU, uz prateću socijalnu pomoć, deluju kao magnet za azilante sa Zapadnog Balkana.

Broj zahtev za azil iz godine u godinu raste, a njihovi zahtevi u najvećem broju slučajeva bivaju odbijeni kao neosnovani.
Na nivou EU, broj azilanata iz zemalja Zapadnog Balkana raste od 2009, ali su oni koncentrisani u nekoliko zemalja - dve trećine svih zahteva tokom 2012. podneto je u Nemačkoj,Švedskoj i Belgiji, u kojima procedura traje i više meseci.
Prema podacima iz nekoliko evropskih zemalja u kojima je prošle godine bilo najviše azilanata iz Srbije, procenat pozitivno rešenih zahteva za azil iznosio je između nula i tri odsto. Na nivou EU, u trećem kvartalu 2012, prema podacima Eurostata, gotovo svi zahetvi iz Srbije su odbijeni.

Srbija je, ne računajući Kosovo, u trećem kvartalu 2012. sa 5.370 podnetih zahteva bila četvrta na listi zemalja po broju građana koji su zatražili azil u nekoj od zemalja EU. U tom periodu u EU azil je zatražio i gotovo jednak broj građana Makedonije, 5.315, i još 2.500 sa Kosova.

Više od hiljadu Mladenovčana okupilo se danas ispred zgrade opštine kao bi još jednim mirnim protestom pokazali svoje protivljenje otvaranju Centra za azilante u selu Mala Vrbica, koje se nalazi sedam kilometara od centra grada. Protest su podržali predsednici opštine Topola i Smederevska Palanka.

Criminal organization with a branch in Serbia has been broken up

Wiena - Austrian police successfully busted a criminal organization that was smuggling illegals in Europe and in past few years made a profit of more than 50 million euros. This organization had a branch in Serbia.

Police reported that the whole gang with branches in Iran, Turkey and Greece finally was exposed and smashed. This gang has smuggled approximately 5000 illegal migrants from Avganistan to Austria. Austrian Minister of Interior Johanna Mikl Lajtner said that this was the biggest gang that was dealing with smuggling illegals.

Bogovadja: From asylum to the classroom

On Wednesday, January the 16th, for the first time in Serbia, the children asylum seekers from Bogovadja started to go to school. Jamal and Saleh are the twins from Somalia who became pupils of the first grade in the local elementary school in Bogovadja.

Two new school friends were greeted with joy among the other pupils of the school in Bogovadja.

After the winter break, on Wednesday, pupils of the mixed classes of the first and third grade of primary school in Bogovadja were awaited by a double surprise - they got a new teacher and two classmates. Twelve years old twins, Jamal and Saleh, from Mogadishu in Somalia, are the children asylum seekers who started to attend school in Serbia.

Dodeljeni prvi azili u obimu izbegličke zaštite u Srbiji

Dana 21.12.2012.godine, dostavljena su pravnoj službi Centra za zaštitu i pomoć tražiocima azila (APC/CZA), rešenja Odseka za azil, Odeljenja za strance, Uprave granične policije RS, br. 03/9-26-17/12, 03/9-4-26-2326/11 i 03/9-26-2324/11, kojima je dodeljen izbeglički status jednom Egipćaninu i dvojici Libijaca, azilantima koji su u Srbiji podneli zahteve za azil 2012. godine. Od početka funkcionisanja azilnog sistema u Srbiji, ovo su prve odluke o dodeli azila u obimu izbegličke zaštite. U svim postupcima u Srbiji i u postupcima po zahtevima za azil, ova lica su zastupali pravnici Centra za zaštitu i pomoć tražiocima azila, kao njihovi punomoćnici.

Pozdravljamo donošenje ovih odluka kao početak dobre prakse i svestranog sagledavanja i utvrđivanja razloga za azil u konkretnim slučajevima i dosledne primene domaćih i međunarodnim pravila u ovoj oblasti.

Takođe, očekujemo odgovarajuće angažovanje nadležnih organa u pogledu aktivnosti na rešavanju pitanja koja se tiču integracije lica kojima je dat azil u Republici Srbiji.

„We are destroyed, but our desire is too strong" – the group of humiliated

The fourth in a series of debates, called "On the other side" will be held on Monday 17 December in the (former) store "Belgrade", Knez Mihajlova St, number 5, starting from 7 pm.

The occassion for the public discussion is the photo exhibition "On the other side" by Dušan Rajić. Held at the Street gallery, exhibition documents one of the temporary, illegal settlement near Serban border with Hungary - the temporary residence of asylum seekers and illegal migrants who are passing through Serbia and Europe.

Exhibition in Banja Koviljaca

After Lajkovac and Belgrade, exhibition of works created by women and children asylum seekers, accommodated in the asylum centers in Banja Koviljaca and Bogovadja, was opened in the Center for Abandoned Children "Vera Blagojevic" in Banja Koviljaca on December 14th, 2012. Evropskoj uniji je potreban jedinstveni zakon o azilu. Šefovi vlada ne smeju dopustiti da na njihovo delovanje u ovim pitanjima utiču populisti, koji su u ovom trenutku zastupljeni u velikom broju evropskih parlamenata.

Novosti na granici sa Mađarskom: Kamerama na ilegalce

Reporteri „Novosti“ sa policajcima opremljenim modernom tehnologijom na granici sa Mađarskom. Na „zelenoj granici“ je uhapšeno 26 krijumčara i 1.308 ilegalnih migranata.

U TIŠINI vojvođanske pustare, smeštene u međugraničnom prostoru Srbije i Mađarske, dovoljan je mali neprirodni zvuk, pa da stado srna načulji uši, podigne glave i krene u trk prema šumi. Poput kelebijskih srna ponelo se i tridesetak ilegalnih migranata, kada ih je granična policija otkrila dok se šunjaju po šipražju na „ničijoj zemlji“, da bi prebegli u Mađarsku.

Ova, gotovo filmska scena hvatanja krijumčara ljudi i sprečavanja ilegalnih migranata da „pretrče Srbiju“ i uđu u EU deo je uobičajenog rada srpskih graničara. Jer, od kako je Vojska Srbije 2007. napustila obezbeđivanje državne međe, taj zadatak je poveren MUP-u Srbije.

- Umesto vojnika sa puškom i psom, koji šeta između belih graničnih obeležja, prostor između državnih prelaza, popularno nazvan „zelena granica“, sada čuvaju specijalno obučeni policajci sa modernom opremom za obezbeđivanje i kontrolu granice. A to su elektronski sistem za obezbeđivanje granice u dubini od 27 kilometara, mobilne i ručne termovizijske kamere, senzori za pokret i težinu, noćni dvogledi i visinski baloni sa elektronskim kamerama, dometa do deset kilometara - nabraja nam Vladan Antić, policijski savetnik i ekspert iz Odeljenja za granicu.

NAJBRŽI BIZNIS
KRIJUMČARENJE ljudi je danas najbrži i najunosniji biznis u Srbiji. Za ilegalni prelaz grupe od 30 migranata od Grčke, preko Makedonije i Srbije do Mađarske naplaćuje se u proseku 2.500 evra po osobi. To je mafijaška zarada od 75.000 evra za dva dana posla - kaže Vladan Antić, policijski savetnik.

Pored napuštene šumske kuće graničari su dovezli džip opremeljen kamerama i komjuterima, iz kog su dvojica operatera nečujno posmatrali obe međe i „zelenu granicu“.

- Prema našim zakonima, svaki građanin Srbije može da dođe ovde na među da sedi, gleda ptice, ili kosi travu. To krijumčari koriste i preko svojih izviđača ulaze do „zelene granice“ snimaju teren, patrole graničara i traže kanale, kojima mogu ilegalno da prebace migrante. Mi ih otkrivamo termalnim kamerama, koje otkrivaju toplotu njihovih tela, senzorima koji reaguju na njihovu težinu, dvogledima koji uvećavaju noću svetlost i tako mrak čine svetlim - objašnjava nam Vladan Antić.

Na ekranu se ukazao beli kombi sa dvojicom sumnjivih ljudi, koji su istovarali neki materijal. Graničari su se pitali da li je reč o šumskoj građi, ili o švercovanim cigaretama. Mobilna jedinica je dobila zadatak da to detaljnije ispita.

- Srpsko-mađarsku granicu, dugu 176 kilometara, obezbeđuje jedan Regionalni centar granične policije, sa deset stanica i jednom mobilnom jedinicom. Prošle godine smo na samoj granici uhapsili 1.308 ilegalaca i 26 krijumčara ovih ljudi. Krijumčari su, uglavnom, domaći ljudi koji su se nekada bavili švercom goriva, akciznih roba i automobila - kaže Nenad Sekulić, načelnik centra.

NEDOSTUPNO MAFIJAŠIMA
Moderna oprema koju koristi granična policija predstavlja tajno oružje čuvara državne međe protiv ovih mafijaša i ne može da se kupi u slobodnoj prodaji i da se koristi protiv graničara.

I upozorio nas je da su krijumčari jako lukavi, jer plaćaju doušnike i cinkaroše, jatake kod lokalnog stanovništva po Kelebiji i Horgošu, gde skrivaju ilegalce kada ih dovezu iz svojih sabirnih centara u Preševu i selu Lojane kod Kumanova.

- Migranti iz Avganistana, Pakistana, Maroka, Turske i sa Kosmeta idu seoskim i šumskim putevima, prate prugu i dalekovode koji idu ka Mađarskoj, nekad jaruge, kanale i vode, gde se zaglave. Kada ih otkrijemo i privedemo u stanicu izgledaju kao da su na samrti i strašno smrde - priča Nenad Sekulić.

Imigranti opsedaju Srbiju

Zbog nelegalnog prelaska granica, od početka godine protiv 4.962 osobe podnete prijave. Preovlađuju Avganistanci i Pakistanci. Najviše prelaze u Makedoniju i Mađarsku.

AVGANISTANCI ubedljivo najviše pokušavaju da ilegalno pređu srpsku granicu. Iza njih slede Pakistanci, Alžirci, Turci, ali i državljani Bangladeša, pokazuju podaci Ministarstva unutrašnjih poslova. Policija svakodnevno radi na njihovom otkrivanju, pa su tako za prvih deset meseci 2012. godine prekršajne prijave podnete protiv 4.962 osobe koje su pokušale da nezakonito pređu granicu Srbije.

“The Far World in Belgrade” - Exhibition of Works of Women and Children Asylum Seekers from Banja Koviljaca and Bogovadja

On Monday, November 26th, the APC/CZA exhibition of the works of women and children asylum seekers accommodated in asylum centers in Banja Koviljaca and Bogovadja, was opened in the gallery Nea Pangea in Belgrade.

On the exhibition products and materials created during creative workshops were displaied together with some of the clay figures, drawings and collages created during the cultural, health, empowering workshops. These workshops were organized by the Asylum Protection Center APC/CZA and realized this year with women and children asylum seekers in the asylum centers. Photographs of the difficult conditions which immigrants are facing with along their way to Europe, together with ceramic figures representing the fears that some of the participants presented through the figures of Taliban, police officer, graves, bugs, snakes, were also displayed to the Belgrade exhibition. The drawings of the dreams of children and women included school, home; drawings of Eiffel Tower; drawings of tears of mothers during their stay away from home, drawings of dreams of the future, drawings of homes in which they would like to live. On the exhibition visitors can see photos of creative workshops, of traditionally henna painted palms of women, photos of traditional Afghan kites, jewelry, dolls and sculptures produced by the women and children participants of the workshops. In all workshops women from different countries were involved as can be seen in the photographs.

Two short films were showned to the audience - one about the difficult conditions immigrants are facing on the road with and the other which is created during the Save the Children and APC/CZA research with children hosted in asylum centre in Bogovadja.
The exhibition is part of the Asylum Protection Center APC/CZA project "Empowerment of asylum seekers and persons who got asylum for more active social role in local communities" funded by Scan foundation and BCIF.

The exhibition was previously shown at the Cultural Center "Hadzi Ruvim" in Lajkovac and in the organization of the event in Belgrade APC/CZA team was wholeheartedly helped by activists gathered around the Cultural Center "Nea Pangea" where the exhibition was held.
